Fabienne E Gouba has a Ph.D. in applied economics from HEC Montréal and a Master Degree in Economics from the Université de Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. Her thesis consists of three chapters that study the implications of foreign aid and fiscal policy in developing economies for growth, inequality, and welfare. Her primary research fields are macroeconomics, economic growth and development economics. The article she has co-written with Hafedh Bouakez, an Associate Professor at the Institute of Applied Economics, HEC Montréal, is published in the peer-reviewed academic journal, Macroeconomic Dynamics. Fabienne E Gouba has received several scholarships including the excellence grants from the Fondation J. Armand Bombardier and CIRPEE. She is a former Lecturer in the department of economics at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi and the University of British Columbia Okanagan. Her professional experience as Lecturer provided her with the opportunity to teach many courses in macroeconomics, microeconomics, money and banking, international economics and development economics. She is currently a research professional at the Centre for Productivity and Prosperity.
