The HEC Montreal Centre for Productivity and Prosperity’s 2012 Overview paints a detailed picture of Quebec’s economic performance and contrasts it with those of some twenty industrialized countries, including Canada and the United States. For the first time, this year’s report offers a comparative analysis of economic management approaches in six countries recognized for their quite remarkable economic success over the past 30 years. On the basis of this exercise, the study offers a series of recommendations that could lead to significant gains in productivity and the standard of living in Quebec and throughout Canada.
